History and definition of medicine and fitness:

  • According to Dictionary Meriam Webster medicine is “the science and art dealing with the maintenance of health and the prevention, alleviation, or cure of disease.”
  • Fitness is obviously the condition of being fit but that isn’t just physically it also means being mentally healthy.

Apps:

  • My Fitness Pal- This app is to help you keep track of everything that you are eating and exercise to determine optimal caloric intake and nutrients for the users’ goals and uses gamification elements to motivate users.
  • Sworkit- If you are someone that doesn’t have time to go to the gym then this app is very useful because you can choose the workouts you want and how much time you have.
  • Asana Rebel- This app combines traditional practices of yoga with fitness.
  • Headspace- This app provides beginner-friendly meditation courses that range from three- to 30-minute sessions.
